2014 INDUCTION TO THE RHODE ISLAND AQUATIC HALL OF FAME

Paul, coach of St. Mary Academy Bay View, has a dual meet record of 98 wins, 26 losses and 2 ties. He coached the St. Mary Bay View teams to State Championship Titles in both 2004 and 2007. These teams also won the Class Championship and Bay View Invitational titles. During four consecutive seasons, from 2000 to 2004, Paul’s teams were also recognized and awarded the John Stoyko Sportsmanship Award. He has extensive coaching experience with the Boys Clubs, the YMCA, and Little Rhody Aquatic Club. In addition to his outstanding coaching accomplishments, as a Captain in the Providence Fire Department, Paul has been the Fire Department Water Safety Instructor and Underwater Search and Rescue Dive instructor. In high school, Paul was an outstanding swimmer for LaSalle Academy.
