Carolyn Chadsey

2000 Special Award of Recognition

The Rhode Island Aquatic Hall of Fame will present a Special Award of Recognition to Carolyn Chadsey of Rumford, Rhode Island for her many years of involvement and service to aquatics in Rhode Island.

Although an accomplished swimmer in her own right, having competed for the Central Boys Club in Providence, she is best known for her work as the Administrative Assistant for the Providence Red Cross Health and Safety Services where she worked from 1953 to 1995.  Chadsey also served on the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Aquatic Hall of Fame from its inception in 1980 until 1986.  Since her retirement from the Red Cross in 1995, she has continued to assist water safety volunteers and teach water safety classes.

Carolyn resides in East Providence.
