Our Annual Induction Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Quonset O Club in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. To learn more, visit the Events Page and Reservation Form.

The Third Annual Ellis Mayers Humanitarian Award will be presented at the banquet on May 9th. The award is given in the honor and memory of Ellis, co-founder of the Rhode Island Aquatic Hall of Fame. Ellis, a selfless, dedicated, and accomplished coach and educator was well respected by all. This special award will be presented to a coach, official, water safety instructor or aquatic leader who exemplifies Ellis’s standards and qualities. Richard “Dick” Vincent was our first recipient and last year the award was presented to David Hanson. This year the award is being presented to John O’Neill, head coach of Providence College, 1994 RIAHOF Inductee and RIAHOF past president.

Also, please feel free to contact us with any information of interest concerning the Hall of Fame. It has been forty-five (45) years since the Hall was incorporated. Hopefully, we will continue to honor many deserving individuals and organizations in the future.

Support can be given in many ways! First, by nominating individuals worthy of being inducted. The board selects individuals based on nominations received. Next, support may also be given by attending the Annual Banquet for all inductees past and present.

We look forward to your continued support!

Thank you.
