2010 INDUCTION TO THE RHODE ISLAND AQUATIC HALL OF FAME

Mike graduated UMass Dartmouth in 1998 undefeated in dual meet competition as well as setting six school records in Breaststroke, IM, and Freestyles. He compiled three New England Conference Records, finished second in-the 200 Breast at the 1997 NCAA Division III Championships and was named All American four times. In the USS circuit, he was the 1997 New England Senior Champion for the 100

Breast. Mike was a 1998 US Open, Senior National qualifier and a member of the Medley Relay team which placed Top 16. In 2005 and 2006, Mike was the New England Masters Champion and Record Holder in the 50, 100, and 200 Breast events. Also, Mike was the SCY National Masters Champion, All American in 100, 200 Breast, and 200 Medley Relay. Mike was a Speedo Sectional finalist in 2006, and at the 2006 FINA World Masters Championships placed top five in three individual events and 3 relay events. Mike won Save the Bay Swim in 2008. On the triathlon circuit was a 2009 USAT Nationals long distance qualifier, a “Best of the US” qualifier for R.I. and had a Top 50 Finish in Division at the Ironman World Championships with a Top Ten overall swim time. Mike has dedicated his professional life coaching swimmers to reach the Olympics, NCAA’s, USS Nationals, and High School Champions. Mike is currently the assistant coach at Providence College and Little Rhody Aquatic Club. He resides in Riverside RI.
