Pauline Silven Solomon

1988 Special Award of Recognition

Pauline Silven was an Olneyville Boys Club Auxiliary swimming star during the late 1940’s competing in numerous A.A.U. meets.  Although she won many 50 and 100 yard races, Pauline was better known as an outstanding distance freestyle swimmer.

She has had a long attachment to Rhode Island Swimming, being active in the Narragansett Swim League, Interscholastic Swimming, and the Rhode Island Swim Coaches and Officials Association.

Pauline and her family have dedicated an extraordinary amount of time and talent to the sport of swimming and diving in Rhode Island.
